I typically monitor such things pretty well, and I recalled placing a Diapers.com order the previous week, so this alarmed me just a bit. They deliver really quickly, so I knew something was awry. I checked my gmail to look for the order confirmation, shipping confirmation, etc., and even had a recollection of getting and deleting such e-mails recently (knowing they would be in the trash folder if I really needed to find them). So, I looked in the various folders of my e-mail, and couldn't find anything.
"I guess I didn't actually place the order," I told Matt, apologetically. I placed the order again--diapers, wipes, and a bath basket I'd wanted to get to hold Kate's bath squirties, shampoo, etc.--and Matt picked up a box of diapers at the grocery on his way home from Bible study that evening. That was a Tuesday.
Wednesday, less than 24 hours later, a Diapers.com box appeared on our porch. "Wow. That was fast."
We put together the new bath basket...
... and Kate and I colored on and played in the box.
Thursday, when I pulled into the driveway after work, I noticed another Diapers.com box on the front porch. Uh oh. Sure enough, it was filled with the exact same stuff, and delivered on the exact day it would be expected from my Tuesday night "re"-order.
I guess Memorial Day weekend just delayed my original order, and I don't know why I couldn't find the e-mail confirmation! Oops. We'll obviously use the diapers and wipes eventually, but now I have this extra bath basket I have to bother with returning! Bleh.
[two minutes later...]
Actually, I just looked up their return policy, and they'll send a prepaid return address label! Awesome! Yet another reason to love Diapers.com. I know I sound like a spokesperson, but I honestly love them and I promise I'm getting no compensation for this (unless you want to use my referral code JKELLEY to get $10 off your first order--but seriously, you can find their $10 off codes in just about any parenting mag if you really don't want me to benefit from your order :0)
Diapers.com, you can expect my return with a big "Doh!" written on it in 3-5 business days.
